Brunch Picnic – Saturday 29 August 10.30 – 11.30 am, North Bradley Peace Memorial Trust
I am always asked what Lebanese people have for breakfast. There is not just one answer to that but I was planning to arrange an event where you can discover the treasures of the Lebanese breakfast.
After the Beirut explosion last week, I felt I can do something for my first home by raising its profile through its amazing food and raise money to help the people who normally slip through the net when it comes to international aid.
Fatteh: layers of crunchy bread, chickpeas, homemade tahini sauce topped with roasted walnut. Not suitable for gluten free or vegan.
Fool moudammas: fava beans cooked slowly overnight swimming in garlic, lemon juice and olive oil, suitable for vegan.
Both recipes will be served with chopped tomatoes, gherkins, fresh mint and Lebanese bread if I can source it.
You can choose to experience one or two of the dishes.
If the weather is good, I invite you to bring a rug and share it with everyone else from a distance as my chosen hall benefits from a large field. If the weather is not on our side, there is enough space for you to pull in the car park and collect your order. In an attempt to reduce waste please bring your plates and cutlery to the picnic. For any takeaways, I will be using foil containers. This brunch will keep you going till late in the day as it is really filling.
Price: £10 per adult, £5 for under 10 years old.
Please join me to savour some delicacies of the traditional Lebanese breakfast and help raise money for Saint Vincent de Paul/Tripoli, Lebanon.
Book your breakfast here or email me for more information. Feel free to donate more if you can or even if you don’t wish to eat.

It was a pleasure to have you there, you were great company. Your food was wonderful and we had a fantastic time learning the basics of belly dancing. You were the icing on the cake of a lovely weekend. Mike Jones January 2019
Thank you so much for yesterday evening. It was such fun, informative and memorable and everyone has been saying today how much they enjoyed it. The evening was so much more than I’d expected and we enjoyed every aspect of it and loved hearing about your home country and your family. The food was delicious and Craig and I have had another lovely meal this evening with the leftovers!!! Angela King February 2018
